Overview

The Craft
Behind the Finish

Epoxy flooring is the ultimate solution for durable, low-maintenance surfaces that need to stand up to heavy use. As a certified Thermal Chem Epoxy installer, Intricate Concrete delivers flooring systems that combine industrial-grade durability with stunning visual appeal.

Every epoxy project begins with mechanical preparation — we grind and profile the concrete substrate to ensure proper adhesion. This critical step is what separates a floor that lasts for decades from one that peels within a year. No shortcuts, no acid etching — just proper mechanical prep every time.

From there, we build your floor layer by layer: primer, base coat, decorative flake or metallic pigment, and a topcoat formulated for your traffic level and chemical exposure. The result is a seamless, non-porous surface that resists stains, impact, and wear — and looks incredible doing it.

Capabilities

What We Deliver

Full Flake Systems

Decorative vinyl flakes embedded in epoxy for a textured, slip-resistant finish available in hundreds of color combinations. Ideal for garages and high-traffic areas.

Metallic Epoxy

Pearlescent metallic pigments create a flowing, three-dimensional surface that mimics molten metal, marble, or lava. A show-stopping finish for showrooms and luxury garages.

Quartz Flooring

Broadcast quartz aggregate systems for maximum durability and chemical resistance — the standard for commercial kitchens, manufacturing, and industrial environments.

Solid Color Coatings

Clean, uniform colored epoxy coatings for a sleek minimalist look. Available in virtually any color for basements, workshops, and retail spaces.

Mechanical Preparation

Every floor is mechanically ground and profiled — never acid-etched — to ensure maximum adhesion and a warranty-backed bond between epoxy and concrete.

Thermal Chem Certified

As a certified Thermal Chem installer, we use commercial-grade systems engineered for Michigan temperature swings, hot tire contact, and chemical resistance.

Our Process

From Concept
to Completion

01

Assessment

We inspect the slab for cracks, moisture, and existing coatings — then recommend the right system for your space and usage.

02

Mechanical Prep

The concrete is ground and profiled with professional equipment to open the pores and ensure a tenacious bond.

03

Coat & Broadcast

Primer, base coat, and your chosen decorative element — flake, quartz, or metallic — are applied and broadcast to rejection.

04

Topcoat & Cure

A UV-stable, chemical-resistant topcoat seals the system. Full cure in 72 hours — ready for vehicle traffic in 24–48 hours.
